I am sincerely grateful for the critique, I'm very glad you liked the piece. I dreamed that shot, then went to the location, composed it like the dream, and shot. Just a strange kind of visualization I guess. I do that with programming too, I dream code LOL. I am enjoying this a great deal as well, more people should get involved with photography from other artistic fields, it really changes your perspective. I know my 3D work will be greatly enhanced now. I'll try not to disapoint you

Well you're welcome. As far as 'Unfinished Business' goes, while the subject matter is not exactly something I enjoy I must say it's an impressive shot. I like the composition and the selective color, it really draws the eye. I also think the title suits the image really well. I know, I'm not the best at critique (I've also been a little preoccupied as of late) but personally I do think it's a very well done shot. To be honest, I'm flattered you think I know what I'm doing; I'm still just kind of 'wandering around' in the world of photography still trying to find out what works and what doesn't. More often I find out what doesn't work but it's still a fun process I tend to think. I look forward to seeing more from you, you definitely have an eye I'd say.

Some critique from someone who actually knows what they're doing would be appreciated, I've only owned a DSLR for like a month now, still learning about photography but my background in CG and radiographic imaging seems to make the learning curve less steep.

No problem, you take some really amazing shots; very beautiful stuff. I like your ocean pictures the best but many of the others are really great as well. I really like "Bird 03," it's very surreal-looking.
